Alheit Vineyards is a family winery founded by husband and wife team Chris and Suzaan Alheit in 2010. Their aim is to make wines in the most natural way so they are a true expression of the Cape identity. Together they work their old vineyards trained as bush vine and do not use irrigation. All wines are fermented with natural yeasts and no malolactic, oak ageing or filtering take place.
Cartology is composed of rare parcels of 30 to 80 year bush vines. Made with Chenin Blanc and Sémillon, it has become an iconic wine from the Cape. Juicy and complex aromas of apple, plum and citrus fruits. Creamy on the palate with a crisp acidity and a saline and mineral finish.
