Château Argadens has been owned since 2002 by the Sichel family, who are also part owners of Chateau Palmer and a number of other estates. Their aim is to make the wine a benchmark within the Bordeaux Superieur appellation. Grapes are sourced from a 45 hectares parcels located in Entre-Deux-Mers and the wine spends 12 months in oak barrels.
Rich and ripe blackberry aromas with notes of oak. Generous on the palate with dense tannins and a long and spicy finish. Awarded Silver Medal at Concours des Vins de Lyon 2017.
“Structured and firm, this is a wine that is full of tannins. Luckily the fruitiness is there as well to show the wine’s potential. With a couple of years of aging, it should do well…” – 88pts The Wine Enthusiast, January 2016
French still red wine from Entre-Deux-Mers in Bordeaux France, made with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
With their 350 hectares of vines, Maison Sichel is a true winegrower, winemaker and éleveur. In its constant quest for improvement, Maison Sichel has adopted an original and holistic approach to the wine-making process. The story began in 1856 when Hermann Sichel set up a wine merchant business in Germany. The next step was to open a buying office in Bordeaux in 1883, and today Maison Sichel has remained a family business with the sixth generation in charge of the estate. View our selection.
