Product description
Grapes from old vines, averaging 40 years old, are machine-harvested with low yields of 50 hl/ha. Cabernet and Merlot are vinified separately. They undergo fermentation using selected yeast in stainless steel vats and are then matured in the same vats with French oak staves. Second wine of Château du Moulin Rouge. Intense aromas of spice and ripe fruit with fine tannins and a long persistent finish.
Awards
From an excellent vintage, mid crimson. Perfume and quite light and sweet. I'm tasting more Merlot than Cabernet. Easy-peasy but not distinctive. 12.5% Drink 2019 – 2024. 16/20 points.
