About the producer: Château Beaumont
The vineyard of Beaumont, located between St Julien and Margaux was born in 1824 under Mr Bonnin. Thirty years later, the beautiful Renaissance mansard style castle, still occupied today, was built. After seeing a succession of owners, Château Beaumont was bought in 1986 by the GMF (Grands Millésimes de France) group, also owner of Château Beychevelle. With the aim of producing rich and crowd pleasing wine, they have hired consultant Eric Boissenot, a renown oenologist in Bordeaux who is involved in many estates including Château Latour, Château Margaux, Château Lafite-Rothschild and Château Mouton-Rothschild.
