Product description
Made by the Valades family who have a well-earned a reputation for being masters of Merlot. Harvesting is done by hand and yields are kept low to produce wine with concentrated fruits.
A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, full of attractive acidity and blackberry fruits. Fine tannins which are just now beginning to soften. Ripe flavours and a supple texture on the palate, with the added element of oak ageing to give complexity. Ideal for decanting an hour before serving with red meats, especially the classic Bordeaux dish of roast lamb.
...made by the highly respected Valade family who has a reputation for being masters of Merlot. They have owned Brisson and also Le Peyrat since 1878 and today Paul and his son Cedric work their magic at these superb estates. While Brisson is only five years old it is bursting with ripe, fruits of the forest notes and there is a glossy, slickness to the palate which I absolutely adore. Leave your expensive clarets in the cellar and crack on with this terrific wine because it is sure to put a smile on your face in these testing times
