Product description
Château Daviaud has been in the hands of the Sichel family, who are also part owners of Château Palmer, since 2020. Their aim is to produce wines which highlight the softness of the fruit, the depth of spices and great fullness on the palate, while retaining a lot of delicacy.
Merlot and Cabernet Franc are the main part of the blend with a high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, unusual for the right bank. However, what makes Ch. Daviaud unique for Bordeaux is the 15% of Malbec added to the blend. Aromas of cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant with notes of pepper, nutmeg and liquorice. Full-bodied and smooth on the palate with some depth and ripe tannins.

Chewy and plump, this is lovely, round and full offering plenty of ripe red and black fruit flavours and a gentle florality alongside massy tannins and balanced acidity. Nice energy and styling here, this is smooth and feels well worked with fruit forwardness and a minty fresh finish. Extremely drinkable.
