Over the last few decades Château de Malle has been producing seriously impressive wines, with great intensity and complexity. From the exceptionally good 2009 vintage, this is rich and luscious with classic honey and dried apricot aromas alongside toffee and spicy notes.
French sweet/pudding white wine from Sauternes in Bordeaux France, made with Semillon, Muscadelle and Sauvignon Blanc.
Château de Malle is a beautiful property that spreads over two prestigious appellations; Sauternes and Graves. The castle was built in the 17th Century by Jacques de Malle and is now owned by the Comtesse de Bournazel, his direct descendant. They are well known for their 2ème Cru Classé Sauternes that reveals great intensity and purity of fruit, but they also produce both white and red dry wine in Graves. View our selection.
Out of their 55 hectares of vineyards, 28 ha lay in the communes of Preignac and Fargues in Sauternes and are planted with Semillon, Sauvignon and Muscadelle. The sweet wine is aged for 20 to 24 months in oak barrels.
