Product description
A Cru Bourgeois Supérieur estate located 35 km from Bordeaux along the Route des Châteaux in Cussac-Fort-Médoc, just 6 km from Margaux and bordering Saint-Julien. The grapes come from 45-year-old vines and are hand-harvested. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, followed by 12 months of ageing in French oak, with one-third of the barrels replaced each year. Only around 8,500 cases are produced annually. Generous ripe black and red berry fruits alongside spice and oak. Intense palate with good concentration of fruits and elegant tannins.
This wine from a 44-acre estate close to the Gironde estuary is rich in jammy black fruit from the Merlot in the blend. There is plenty of structure as well, giving the wine a chance to age. Drink this attractive wine from 2023.
