Château Larrivet Haut-Brion is known for harvesting their grapes as late as possible in order to ensure full ripeness and create rich and intense wines.
Very opulent white style with peach aromas and hint of honey. Full body and buttery on the palate with a good minerality that brings a good balance.
In this vintage there are some clear confit fruit notes of grilled apricots and hazelnuts, but it still retains a sense of persistency and freshness. It’s enjoyable to drink now, don't wait too much longer. This white shows clearly how opulent style levels were higher before Stéphane Derenoncourt arrived as a consultant in 2015.- 87 pts Jane Anson, Decanter
