About the producer: Château Léoville Las Cases

Once part of the Léoville estates (including Léoville Barton and Léoville Poyferré), Château Léoville Las Cases is located in St Julien next to Chateau Latour and is owned by the Domaine Delon. Passionate winemaker Michel Delon, who only selected the best grapes for its wines, declassified 50% of his crops in 1986 and 67% in 1990 in order to create one of the best wines of the Medoc. His son is now in charge of the Domaine following his father’s steps. Their wines are traditional and require patience. View our selection.

    Vineyard & Winemaking

The 97 hectares of vines are planted with 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot with an average of 40 years old vine. The wines are matured in oak barriques (70-80% new) for 18 months.

    Wines Produced

Château Léoville Las Cases and Clos du Marquis, both very dark in colour with firm tannins and great concentration of fruits. Since 2007 they also produce Le Petit Lion (second wine of Château Léoville Las Cases)
