    Product description

    Both owner and cellar master took advice from oenologist Eric Boissenot in order to create a blend that gave the right structure and complexity to their wine. Grapes are rigorously selected and the wines are vinified per plot to preserve the identity of each parcel. The wines of Malartic Lagraviere are known for their velvety texture, and their ample yet complex tannic structure.

    Powerful, complex and elegant nose with dark fruits, minerality and a touch of oak. Rich and full body with tight tannins and a great length.

    Gorgeously pure blueberry and blackberry fruit along with some notes of cassis, charcoal and licorice jump from the glass of this inky purple wine. An absolutely fabulous success for Malartic Lagravière, this full-bodied wine has sweet tannin, and is complex and long. Drink it over the next 25 years. Bravo! Drink 2015-2040.

    About the producer: Château Malartic Lagravière

    The Domaine de Lagravière was renamed Malartic Lagraviere after the Count Hippolyte of Malartic, an admiral who served the Kings of France and owner of the Domaine in the 18th Century. It was purchased by Alfred and Michèle Bonnie in 1997, and is today managed by their children, Véronique and Jean-Jacques alongside their spouses. With the advice of oenologist Eric Boissenot, owners and cellar master created a blend that gave the right structure and complexity to the wine. View our selection.

    Vineyard & Winemaking

    Out of the 53 hectares of vines located in Graves, 46 are planted with 45% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. The other 7 hectares are planted 80% Sauvignon and 20% Sémillon. The wines are aged 12 to 18 months in oak barrel 35% of which being new.

    Returns

    Sale or return is available. All goods returned must be in a reasonable condition and only unopened cases will be accepted. A minimum collection charge of £7.95 will be applied to all sale or return orders.

    Any damaged bottles must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. A full refund will be given on receipt of the damaged bottles.

    Orders may be cancelled up to seven working days from receipt of delivery provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition.

    To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011, fax details on 020 7716 3366, or email [email protected] It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    In the event of customer cancellation full refunds will only be given if we are notified at least 7 days before the date of the event. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets.

    In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
