Product description
Château Margaux is one of the five 1er Cru Classé properties. In 1978 Andre Mentzelopoulos bought the domaine and two years later his daughter Corine, who now owns the estate, recruited Paul Pontallier to oversee the production. With 82 hectares under vine, the quality of their wines has been consistently excellent over the past 3 decades.
Château Margaux 1995 was one of the finest wines of this excellent Bordeaux vintage, rated 100 points by Wine Spectator. Ch. Margaux is known for combining finesse, elegance, complexity, density, intensity, length and freshness. It also has an extraordinary ability to evolve.

Dark color. Black licorice, coffee, currants and black olives. Complex nose. A full-bodied, chewy blockbuster of a wine that is not giving anything at all away. It is like buried treasure still; you have to search for the gold. And it's there. Fabulous. Please give this time.--'95/'96 Bordeaux retrospective. Best after 2014. 18,000 cases made
