  • About the producer

    About the producer: Château Nénin

Located in Pomerol Château Nénin has been in the hands of the Despujol family, since 1847, and has long been a favourite of the British Royal Family. In 1997 it was purchased by Jean-Hubert Delon, a cousin who also owned Château Léoville-Las-Cases. He started a major restructuring project; draining of the land, replanting of the vines and, built a new vat room. He also hired famous oenologist Michel Rolland as a consultant. Using more Cabernet Franc in the blend, the wines of Nénin combines power, elegance and complexity. View our selection.

    Vineyard & Winemaking

The 32 hectares of vines are planted with 78% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon, with an average of 25 years old vines. The grand vin is matured for 18 months in oak of which 50% is new.

    Wine Produced

Château Nénin (the grand vin) and Fugue de Nénin (second wine).
