Potensac is a popular estate located in the northern part of the Médoc, where the wines tends to be fuller and more tannic than in the south area. The domaine belongs to the Delon family, who also owns the well known Chateau Léoville-Las Cases.
A mature claret with ripe blackcurrant fruits and forest floor notes. Medium bodied with smooth tannins.
Wonderful aromas of crushed berries, wet earth and rose petals. Medium body and integrated and fine tannins. Very polished and pretty. Needs at least two years to soften a little but a beauty already. Tiny production due to hail.- 93 pts James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com
