A delicate St Emilion with intense and complex aromas of red and black berry fruits and cedar notes. The palate is silky and round with a good length.
“Spicy, dark fruit expression. Ripe and fresh on the palate. Note of limestone terroir. Firm, long finish. Drinking Window 2018 – 2028” – 88pts James Lawther, Decanter Magazine, August 2017
French still red wine from Saint Emilion Bordeaux France, made with Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Château Sansonnet is located at the very top of the Saint-Emilion’s plateau and has joined the tight circle of Grands Crus Classés in 2012. Marie-Bénédicte Lefévère, a child of family properties in Pomerol and Saint-Emilion, took over the management of the estate in 2009. The vineyard is a single plot of 7 hectares surrounding the château and mainly planted with Merlot and some Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines of Château Sansonnet are harmonious with ripe fruit flavours and fine tannins. View our selection.
