Product description
This Cru Bourgeois dates back to the 17th century and is known for its delicate, harmonious and well balanced wine with soft tannins.
Delicate nose of blackcurrant with herbal notes and hint of tobacco. Medium fo full bodied with some complexity and a good acidity. Showing well at present.
Bright red-ruby. Reticent nose hints at currant, licorice, mint and fresh herbs. Supple, sweet and spicy, with moderate ripeness and complexity. Not bad but could use more flesh and depth. Finishes with firm, slightly dry tannins. The percentage of new oak will probably be 95% rather than the usual 100%, said Faure, as the use of some used barrels toward the end of elevage will probably bring more freshness.
