This cru Bourgeois has been in the hands of the Lafon family for more than a hundred years. The wine is aged in large oak foudres, rather than small oak casks, for 18 months to preserve the intensity and concentration.
Intense blackberry fruits alongside forest floor and cedar notes. Medium bodied with concentrated flavours. A great value wine that punches well above its weight. – DWM, June 2017
