This is the principal Cuvee of the Domaine. The vines used for the elaboration of this cuvee are, on average, 45 years old. After a traditional fermentation, the wine is matured in large oak barrel called Foudre and 200l barrel.
The result is a powerful yet elegant red wine with cherry aromas and spicy notes that can be kept for a long time.
French still red wine from South Rhone Valley France, made with Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre and Syrah.
Font de Michelle is a beautiful 30 hectares of vineyard located in the South East of Chateauneuf du Pape. Created in 1950 by Etienne Gonnet, the estate has always been run by the family. His sons, Jean and Michel, have taken over the destiny of the estate in 1975. For over 30 years they have improved the wine making methods to develop full-bodied wines that are concentrated, refined and reflect their terroir. Today, their respective sons, Bertrand and Guillaume, bestow their enthusiasms and skills. View our selection.
