    Product description

Made by the Gonnet family who has a long and rich history of winemaking in the region and produces refined wines that reflect their terroir.

Their benchmark Châteauneuf du Pape is sourced from at least 50 years old south facing vines. After a traditional fermentation, the wine is matured in a mix of concrete vat, 600L and 200L oak barrels. Made with Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Counoise, Cinsault, Terret noir, Vaccarèse, Clairette and Bourboulenc. Powerful and elegant with soft tannins, this wine bursts of cherry and blackberry fruits aromas alongside white pepper, liquorice, dried herbs and spicy notes.

  • About the producer

About the producer: Domaine Font du Michelle

Font de Michelle is a beautiful 30 hectares of vineyard located in the South East of Châteauneuf du Pape. Created in 1950 by Etienne Gonnet, the estate has always been run by the family. His sons, Jean and Michel, have taken over the destiny of the estate in 1975. For over 30 years they have improved the winemaking methods to develop full-bodied wines that are concentrated, refined and reflect their terroir. Recently rebranded as ‘Font du Vent’, the estate is now run by third generations Bertrand and Guillaume who bestow their fathers’ enthusiasms and skills. Both oenologists, they have built their winemaking experiences in some of the most prestigious wine regions across the globe. Following the family tradition, they aim to create wines that can be both enjoyed in their youth but also benefit from ageing. The estate has been certified organic since 2013. View our selection.
