    Product description

    This Domaine has been run by the same family for more than 160 years and has a long history of very fine wine making. They own 11.50 hectares of vines including substantial holdings in some of the most famous Grand Cru sites in the Côte de Nuits.

    The full-bodied bouquet is reminiscent of black fruit, liquorice, spices, with leather hints. On the palate, a judicious use of oak lends cigar box and leather alongside aromas of black fruit, truffle, anise and cherry. The intense, powerful and precise tannins of this Grand Cru accompany a long and elegant, but powerful finish.

    About the producer: Domaine Drouhin Laroze

    The Drouhin Laroze family owns 11.50 hectares of vines including substantial holdings in some of the most famous Grand Cru sites in the Côte de Nuits. It all began in 1850 when Jean-Baptiste Laroze started a vineyard in Gevrey Chambertin. The vineyards were later taken over by his son Felix, who’s daughter married Alexandre Drouhin in 1919, who owned vineyards in Chambolle-Musigny. Five generations have been running the Domaine for over 160 years and since the 2014 vintage, Nicholas and Caroline Drouhin, the six generation, have increasingly taken the reins from their father Philippe. This Domaine has a long history of very fine wine making. Caroline also sources grapes from a close knit group of growers for a range of négociant wines, labeled as Maison Laroze de Drouhin.     Wine Produced

    They produce some Appellation Village under Gevrey Chambertain, Morey Saint Denis and Chambolle Musigny. They also own some 1er and Grand Cru including Musigny, Chambertain Clos de Beze, Clos de Vougeot, Bonnes Mares, Latricieres Chambertain and Chapelle Chambertain.

    SALE OR RETURN is available by prior arrangement only and for orders of 96 bottles or more. All returns are at the customer’s expense. Returns must be made within 28 days of original delivery and goods must be in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to only refund up to 25% of the original order. For further details please contact customer services 020 8858 6011.

    CANCELLATIONS can be made within seven working days from receipt of delivery, provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition. To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011 or email orders@davy.co.uk. It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets. In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
