Corbières La Petite Muraille 2015

A superb red made by the Bories family who have been making wine in Corbières since 1896. They work in respect of organic viticulture principle and owns some of the oldest vines in Languedoc.

Juicy and peppery with plenty of cassis and black cherry flavours. This wine really punches above its weight.

French still red wine from Languedoc in South East France, made with Grenache and Carignan.

About the producer: Chateaux Ollieux Romanis

Located at the heart of Boutenac, one of the 11 sub-zones of Corbières, the Bories family have 150 hectares of vineyards that benefit a South East exposition.  Their vines are protected from the north wind and catch longer sunshine. They mainly grow Carignan (aged between 50 and 100 years old), Syrah, Grenache Noir, Mourvedre, Roussane and Marsanne in respect of organic viticulture principle.

The Bories have been making wine in Corbières since 1896. In the 1980s, Jacqueline and François Bories decided to buy parcels of vines and refused to pull up the oldest vines, unlike most producer of the region. They now owns some of the oldest vines in Languedoc.
