Côte-Rôtie ‘Ampodium’, Domaine Rostaing 2016 is available to purchase in bond.
Rene Rostaing has owned 2 hectares in Côte-Rôtie since the 1970s, but in later years has inherited more, now owning a substantial 7.4 hectares. He destems his fruit and ages the young wines in no more than 15% new oak, without filtration. One of the great names of Côte-Rôtie, the wines are always highly sought after.
“Cask sample. Vivid stemmy character cutting across the redcurrant fruit on the nose. Superb concentration of fruit on the palate, yet avoids lumbering heaviness via fresh acid and a lengthy, perfumed finish. Savoury soy and aniseed character to finish. 17.5 points” Richard Hemming MW, Jancisrobinson.com, November 2017.
Offered for sale, in bond. Price shown is per case (12x75cl bottles) and excludes delivery, UK duty and VAT which will be charged at the prevailing rate when the wine is released from bond. Please note, no further discounts apply to fine wines purchased online in bond. Reward points do not accrue on fine wine IB orders, nor may they be used to purchase fine wines.
