En Primeur Côte Rôtie ‘Ampodium’ Domaine Rostaing is released for sale.
Rene Rostaing has owned 2 hectares in Côte Rotie since the 1970s, but in later years has inherited more, now owning a substantial 7.4 hectares. He destems his fruit and ages the young wines in no more than 15% new oak, without filtration. One of the great names of Côte Rotie, the wines are always highly sought after.
“The 2017 Cote Rotie Ampodium shows an extra level of concentration when compared to the 2016, without sacrificing the gorgeous aromas of violets, raspberries and tea leaves. It’s medium to full-bodied, finishing silky and long.”
91-94 points, Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com, December 2018.
