Ferraton Père et Fils is a small family-owned business that operates independently but under the Chapoutier expertise and finance. This range is an hommage to Jean Orens Ferraton’s father Frédéric Reverdy.
First planted in the middle ages, Plan de Dieu is a small appellation located between Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas. With fresh blackberry and blackcurrant fruit flavours and savoury notes. Medium bodied with a pleasant freshness.
More elegant notes of kirsch liqueur, spring flowers, peppery garrigue, and Provençal spice emerge from the 2019 Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan De Dieu. Medium to full bodied on the palate , it has a wonderful sense of elegance, silky tannins, and a great finish. This is beautifully done, and I would be happy to drink bottles any time over the coming 4 5 years- 91 pts Jeb Dunnuck, www.jebdunnuck.com
