    Product description

    Grapes harvested from 40-year-old vines, picked at night to prevent oxidation and maintain freshness. Fermentation with natural, indigenous yeasts in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 28°C to preserve the fruity aromas of the wines. Aromas of bright red fruit with hints of spice and cloves. Medium-bodied with a velvety texture and lingering finish.

    Cherry, rose and raspberry, this is lightly extracted but so fresh and deliciously drinkable now. Bright acidity, squeaky clean red fruits with plenty of crunch. Tight, slightly chalky tannins. Great to drink young. Fresh, stemmy herbal hints add to the lift.

    About the producer: Domaine des Carabiniers

    Domaine des Carabiniers has been within the Leperchois family for many generations with the current generation practicing organic viticulture since 1977. The estate is named after the Carabinieri soldiers who guarded the Pope during the 14th century Avignon Papacy and who stabled their horses here. In 1920, the family developed the old stable walls into a cellar in which the horse emblem for the wines was founded. Their 40 hectares of vineyards can be found on the right bank of the Rhône river, taking advantage of the sun exposure and drainage from the sandy and stony soils. The use of traditional, organic and biodynamic methods, along with the passion in which the wines are made, has allowed the estate to produce some of the best wines of the region.     SALE OR RETURN is available by prior arrangement only and for orders of 96 bottles or more. All returns are at the customer’s expense. Returns must be made within 28 days of original delivery and goods must be in a resalable condition. We reserve the right to only refund up to 25% of the original order.     CANCELLATIONS can be made within seven working days from receipt of delivery, provided that all wines are unopened and in their original condition. To cancel an order customers should contact the Customer Service team on 020 8858 6011 or email orders@davy.co.uk. It is your responsibility to keep the wines safe and in their original condition until collection is made.

    TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date. Refunds will only be given after this time if we are able to re-sell your tickets. In the event that a tasting is cancelled, Davy’s shall offer customers a full refund.
