Domaine de Chevalier owned by Olivier Bernard since 1983, and produced by winemaker Remy Edange, are well known for their ability to produce a quality wine in a difficult vintage. It is located at one of the highest points in the far west of Pessac-Léognan, on a 45ha gravel, sand and clay soil plot. They produce both first class red and white wines.
Complex and intense nose of red berries and blackberries, plum jam, mocha, chocolate, and spices remind us the specific climate of this hot vintage. In the mouth, full and tight structure, fine, elegant and racy tannins, revealing the mineral flavors of liquorice and smoke of the terroir. Very balanced wine, strong and fine.
