Sourced from younger vines, this is the second wine of Château Lynch Bages, an excellent wine which consistently outperforms its fifth growth classification and is regularly ranked in the same league as second growths. As an echo of the first wine, it receives the same care and attention from vineyard to cellar.
Round, soft and seductive in its youth Echo de Lynch Bages has outstanding potential for bottle age.
A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc, the Deuxieme Vin of Lynch Bages has blackberry, wild hedgerow and a touch of tobacco on the nose. Good definition. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe, succulent entry, powdery tannins with a fine blackberry, raspberry and cassis-tinged finish. Moderate length. Fine.- 91 pts Neal Martin, RobertParker.com
