En Primeur Baron de Brane 2016 is now available for sale.
Baron de Brane is the second wine of Château Brane-Cantenac, a 2ème Cru Classé located west of the village of Cantenac in the Margaux appellation. Since Henri Barton has taken over his dad Lucien, extensive investment in the winery has been made and today the wines of Brane Cantenac are fuller and more concentrated, yet still showing the delicate aromas of Margaux.
“The 2016 Baron de Brane is a blend of 65% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. It has a very pure and charming bouquet with brambly red fruit, cedar and pencil shavings, very assured for a Deuxième Vin. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannin on the entry, the fruit a little darker than the nose suggests, segueing into a well-defined second half with brown spices and hints of leather. This is an intriguing Baron de Brane. Drink: 2020-2030” – 89/91pts Neil Martin, robertparker.com April 2017
Offered for sale ‘En Primeur’, in bond. Price shown is per case (12x75cl bottles) and excludes UK duty and VAT which will be charged at the prevailing rate when the wine lands in the UK.
