2019 Chablis William Fevre 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre En Primeur is available to purchase. Please click here to email us your wish-list at [email protected].
William Fèvre made his first vintage in 1959, and subsequently his name as one of Chablis’ greats over the following three decades. The man himself retired in 1988, when the Domaine was purchased by Champagne Joseph Henriot. In the last couple of decades there has been a move to the use of older oak barrels and a more subtle, integrated élevage. The Domaine consists of 12 hectares of premier cru and an enormous 16 hectares of grand crus vineyards.
“Complex bouquet with floral and fruity aromas, and intense mineral notes. Structured palate in its youth, becoming more subtle and elegant and developing ripe fruit notes.”
