Product description
En Primeur Chablis William Fevre Grand Cru Les Preuses will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
William Fèvre founded his domain in Chablis with 7 hectares of vines in 1959 and devoted immense efforts to extending and improving the Estate, while promoting the Chablis appellation. Today, William Fèvre is one of the most established and recognised landowners of the appellation with 78 hectares, of which 15.9 are classified as Premiers Crus and 15.2 as Grands Crus. The acquisition of the Estate by Maisons & Domaines Henriot in 1998 has strengthened that path. Each of the William Fèvre wines are a direct expression of the singular nature of these Chablis terroirs, known and renowned for their purity and mineral freshness.
Les Preuses is probably taken from the word “Perreuse” (stone), the name given to the ancient Roman road which ran below the current vineyard. Made for ageing thanks to a dense, compact, clay-rich soil resting on a limestone bed. Floral nose, with fruity aromas enhanced by intense mineral notes and developing lightly smoky touches. Very round on the palate, both full-bodied and refined.
