En Primeur Chablis William Fevre Grand Cru Valmur will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
William Fèvre founded his domain in Chablis with 7 hectares of vines in 1959 and devoted immense efforts to extending and improving the Estate, while promoting the Chablis appellation. Today, William Fèvre is one of the most established and recognised landowners of the appellation with 78 hectares, of which 15.9 are classified as Premiers Crus and 15.2 as Grands Crus. The acquisition of the Estate by Maisons & Domaines Henriot in 1998 has strengthened that path. Each of the William Fèvre wines are a direct expression of the singular nature of these Chablis terroirs, known and renowned for their purity and mineral freshness.
A Grand Cru site that sits on particularly deep soils, the wine produced here is powerful but not overblown. The aromas are relatively restrained in youth but the presence across the palate is massive, with a viscous and textured feel. Despite the ripeness the finish has a refreshing slatey minerality.
