Product description
En Primeur Château Angludet, Margaux will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
The Sichel and Davy families’ friendship dates back to Peter Sichel’s purchase and renovation of the Chateau in 1961. Davy’s follows each new vintage release with interest and excitement. One of the oldest properties in the Médoc, Ch. Angludet has a history dating back to the 12th century. There is evidence of vineyards on the estate as early as the 17th century, yet the drive towards today’s high levels of consistency and quality began in the 1960s, when Peter Sichel purchased the Chateau. Angludet now competes at the same quality level as many Grands Crus Classés and has a well-earned loyal following. The 32 hectares of vineyards which have been managed by Benjamin Sichel for some 20 years now, are planted on a gravel plateau and comprise of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 13% Petit Verdot grapes. The vineyards have consistently moved towards more sustainable viticulture, and today Angludet is in conversion to Biodynamics.
