Château Branaire-Ducru is a 4ème Cru Classé which was acquired by Patrick Maroteaux in 1988 who invested and improved the vineyards, the cellar but also the reputation of the estate. Today with the help from consultants Jacques and Eric Boissenot, the wines have the reputation to be of great pleasure and value.

“Wonderfully floral and dark cherry, plum and a touch of cassis. There’s a lovely savoury touch here without detracting from ripe and fresh fruit. Cracking tannic structure, smooth, pure and precise, purple and black fruits, pepper spice and a touch of warm cedar on the finish, very expressive, long and moreish! Drink 2023 to 2040+. 16.5/ 20.”
    Davy’s Wine Merchants

“This is well-packed, with blueberry, acai and blackberry fruit flavors and licorice snap and fruitcake notes. Long and refined despite the copious fruit, showing polish and poise through the finish. 94-97 Points.”
James Molesworth, Wine Spectator, April 2019.

Offered for sale ‘En Primeur’ under bond. Price shown is per case (6x75cl bottles) and excludes UK duty and VAT which will be charged at the prevailing rate when the wine is released from bond. Onward delivery from bond charges are not included, free delivery on orders above £100 does not apply. Reward Card points are not accruable or redeemable on ‘En Primeur’ or In Bond sales.
