2019 Château du Moulin Rouge, Haut-Médoc is released.
Château du Moulin Rouge is located between Margaux and St-Julien-Beychevelle, the estate spreads over 18 hectares that benefits from the micro climate of the estuary. Vines are an average of 40 years old and are planted with half Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc.
Plum, blackcurrant, black cherry and violets leap out of the glass with a trace of flint and gentle black pepper. A bright and fresh mineral palate, medium bodied with juicy ripe fruits, plush tannins and gentle oak. Attractive, energetic and well-married. Drink 2021-27 – Davy’s Wine Merchants
I like the soft, silky tannins and the creamy texture. It’s medium-bodied and very polished with currant and chocolate undertones. – 91-92 Points, James Suckling
