Chateau Gloria is a relatively new estate in Saint Julien. It was founded in 1942 by Henri Martin, who comes from a winemaking family. He purchased 6 hectares of vines on the advice of his friend, Jean-Charles Cazes, father of Jean Michel Cazes of Chateau Lynch Bages. Today the estate covers 48 hectares and has seen a complete renovation of the winemaking facilities. Chateau Gloria is a popular Bordeaux wine appreciated for its early drinkability, charming character and fair prices.
“Plum, blackberry and black currant fruit has melded nicely with graphite and anise notes in this red, which shows good energy, with a mouthwatering tar note on the finish. Really solid. 91-94 points” James Molesworth, winespectator.com
Offered for sale ‘En Primeur’, in bond. Price shown is per case (6x75cl bottles) and excludes UK duty and VAT which will be charged at the prevailing rate when the wine lands in the UK.
