Product description
En Primeur Château Grand Pontet will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
Château Grand-Pontet is a 14 hectare Saint- Émilion Grand Cru Classé property which was owned by Barton & Guestier until 1980 when it was purchased by Gérard and Dominique Becot. In 2021 the estate was acquired by Domaine Clarence Dillon through its Château Quintus wine estate, making Quintus one of Saint- Émilion’s largest properties.
Grand-Pontet’s vineyards are well situated on the famous limestone plateau found west of the village of Saint- Émilion and are planted with 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is traditionally vinified and is matured in one-year-old barriques for between 12 and 18 months.
En Primeur pricing is per case as specified and excludes UK duty and VAT, which will be charged at the prevailing rate when the wine is released from bond for delivery. Bonded storage is available. Onward delivery or transfer is not included and can be quoted for on request. Free delivery on orders over £100 does not apply to bonded or en primeur wines.
