Product description
En Primeur Château Laroze will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
The history of Château Laroze wines begins with its soil, which is both siliceous and clayey. The former contributes elegant subtlety and the latter lends structure to the wines. Also part of the story is the five grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot.
27 hectares of vines surround a magnificent 2-hectare treed park and a 19th-century mansion, built in the Napoleon III style. The vines grow at the foot of the slope in a single plot, located 1-mile north-west of the historic village of Saint- Émilion. Château Laroze has been a Saint- Émilion Grand Cru Classé since the first classification in 1955 and is the historic product of the property. The subtlety of its aromas derives from the main duo in its composition: Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The blend comprises 60 % Merlot , 28% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Malbec and 3% Petit Verdot. This combination is unusual in these proportions for a Saint- Émilion wine and produces an atypical yet appealing tasting experience.
En Primeur pricing is per case as specified and excludes UK duty and VAT, which will be charged at the prevailing rate when the wine is released from bond for delivery. Bonded storage is available. Onward delivery or transfer is not included and can be quoted for on request. Free delivery on orders over £100 does not apply to bonded or en primeur wines.
