En Primeur Châteauneuf du Pape Bosquet des Papes will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
The Boiron family have made wine at this domaine since 1860. They have 40 distinct parcels of vines, spread across 32 hectares. Average vine age is 50 years but a parcel of 100-year-old vines is used for the Chante Merle. Nicolas Boiron makes wines for long aging, to reach maturity at around 6-7 years. The cellar has a mixture of foudres and demi-muids.
Lots of classic black raspberry and jammy berry fruits intermixed with plenty of peppery garrigue, new leather, and dried bouquet garni-like aromas and flavours. Medium to full-bodied richness, notable purity, and a great finish. It’s certainly a classic style of wine.
Further information on En Primeur Rhône will be available soon. For more details please contact [email protected].
