En Primeur Domaine de Chevalier Blanc will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
A family Domaine, owned and managed by Olivier Bernard, the last thirty years have been of constant reinvestment in all aspects of the Chateau, vineyards and Cellars with profound success. The whites, often compared in quality to Grand Cru Burgundy, are also known for their ageing potential yet also delicious whilst young displaying abundant flavours of peaches, apricots and lychees, with citrus notes guaranteeing freshness.
Domaine de Chevalier covers a hundred hectares, 45 of which are under vine on ideal gravelly soils typical for the region of Pessac Leognan, formerly known as the ‘Graves’, just south east of the City of Bordeaux . 40 hectares are devoted to red wine split 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. 5 are planted with white varieties split 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon. The vineyard management revolves around sustainable practices and today 30 hectares of the vines are farmed biodynamically.
En Primeur pricing is per case as specified and excludes UK duty and VAT, which will be charged at the prevailing rate when the wine is released from bond for delivery. Bonded storage is available. Onward delivery or transfer is not included and can be quoted for on request. Free delivery on orders over £100 does not apply to bonded or en primeur wines.
