Product description
En Primeur Réserve de la Comtesse will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
The Domaine Pichon Lalande, a 2ème cru classé located in Pauillac, was separated from Pichon Baron in 1850. In 1924 Edward Miailhe bought the Domaine, and fame started when his daughter, May-Eliane Lencquesaing who now resides in the château, took over in 1978. Heavy investments were made to modernise the cellar which considerably improved the quality of the wines. The style is suppler than other Pauillac due to the proximity of St Julien and higher Merlot content. The quality has been consistently excellent for the last 30 years, rivalling with first growth quality. View our selection.
The 75-hectares of vine are planted with 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Petit Verdot. The wines are matured in oak barrels, that are renewed by half every year, for 18 months. La Reserve de la Comtesse de Lalande is the second wine of the estate.
En Primeur pricing is per case as specified and excludes UK duty and VAT, which will be charged at the prevailing rate when the wine is released from bond for delivery. Bonded storage is available. Onward delivery or transfer is not included and can be quoted for on request. Free delivery on orders over £100 does not apply to bonded or en primeur wines.
