Product description
En Primeur Sarget de Gruaud-Larose will be available for delivery or storage once it lands in the UK, usually two years following the en primeur offer.
Château Gruaud-Larose is in the Saint-Julien appellation. The wine produced here was classified as one of fifteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. In 1983 it was purchased by the Compagnie de Suez, and then in 1997 by the Taillan Group, which owns a number of other properties, most notably Château Haut-Bages-Liberal.
The vineyards cover 82 hectares and are planted with 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec. Sarget du Château Gruaud-Larose is the second wine of the estate.
En Primeur pricing is per case as specified and excludes UK duty and VAT, which will be charged at the prevailing rate when the wine is released from bond for delivery. Bonded storage is available. Onward delivery or transfer is not included and can be quoted for on request. Free delivery on orders over £100 does not apply to bonded or en primeur wines.
