Product description
The Maison Gardet cultivates 5 hectares of vineyards in Chigny-les-Roses, Mareuil-sur-Ay, and the Côte des Bars. Gardet Brut Tradition is crafted in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks, with malolactic fermentation ensuring a balanced profile. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle, followed by 24 to 36 months of ageing in the cellars. Vibrant citrus and green apple aromas, with hints of brioche and white flowers. The palate is fresh and elegant, with fine bubbles, a creamy texture, and a lingering, crisp finish.
Awards
Apples and fresh chollah aromas. Tightly beaded upfront but the bubbles unravel into loose laciness as the wine spreads out across the mouth. Ripe, golden apples and pears beginning and middle – wisps of smokiness and hazelnuts are quickly lost in the folds of sweet fruit (is the dosage relatively high here?). Quite rich citrus, lemon cheesecake, although the structure of the wine does come through on the finish. A good wine for scallops Meuniere.
