This almost 100 years old winery has made a name for itself in Gigondas. Each parcel is carefully selected to express this exceptional terroir and produce elegant wines with great length and freshness.

Sourced from deeply rooted on the hillsides of the family estate and aged for 12 months in foudres and barrels. Aromas of black and red berries with scents of provençal wild herbs. Generous on the palate with soft yet powerful tannins, and a long and spicy finish seasoned with black pepper.

About the producer: Domaine Pierre Amadieu

Domaine Pierre Amadieu was founded in 1929. Back then, Pierre owned 7 hectares of vines in Gigondas. In the 1950s, two properties, Romane and La Machotte, were added to the estate which became the largest one of Gigondas with 137 ha of vines. At the time, wines were matured in an old railway tunnel, with ideal temperature.  Today, Pierre Amadieu Jr, 3rd generation, runs the company helped by his cousins. Their will is to look for elegance, length and freshness. Each parcel is carefully selected to express this exceptional terroir.
