Gouguenheim Sparkling Rosé Extra Dry, Tupungato

This winery located in the Uco Valley in Mendoza was bought by Patricio Gouguenheim in 2002 and has now become one of the best top quality wineries in Argentina.

Made with the ‘Charmat’ method, Gouguenheim Sparkling Rosé has delicate red fruit aromas of cherries and strawberries. Very fresh on the palate with good acidity and fine bubbles.

“This Uco Valley example is one of the pioneers, with a pale pink colour and energetic bubbles. Fresh cherries, plums and blueberries to the fore, with hints of fresh yeast, blossom and white fruits. Vibrant. Drink 2018 – 2022”91pts Alejandro Iglesias, Decanter magazine, September 2018

About the producer: Gouguenheim Winery

Born in Argentina to French parents, Patricio Gouguenheim’s love for wine started at the age of 7 when he was given a little bit of wine (mixed with sparkling water!) with every meal. Patricio’s job (mergers and acquisitions) took him to Mendoza, now the epicentre of Argentina’s wine industry. It was during the year 2002, when Argentina went into a big economic crash, that he decided to enter the wine market, as everyone else was leaving. Patricio found a very old winery located in the Uco Valley, 70 km away from Mendoza, with a lot of small tanks, ideal for production of high quality wines, and that was the start of his venture. Gouguenheim winery has now become one of the best performing/top quality wineries in Argentina. View our selection.

The vines are irrigated with melt water from the Andes and produce aromatic and delicate wines due to the large ‘diurnal’ temperature, offering an abundance of bright sunshine and heat during the day and cool temperature at night.
