    Product description

This recent English winery has already earned a reputation as an outstanding producer, with accolades from some of the industry’s most exacting critics.

Gusbourne Brut Reserve is their most robust expression of who they are. The blend is made of Chardonnay, acting as the structural component, Pinot Noir which brings body and depth and finally Pinot Meunier which adds floral and additional fruity notes to the wine. Aromas of cherry and strawberry, alongside fresh pastry notes and a touch of cinnamon and spice. The palate is clean and fresh with citrus and stone fruits flavours.

  • About the producer

    About the producer: Gusbourne estate

Dating back to 1410, the estate was taken over by Andrew Weeber in 2004. He planted the first vines that same year with the aim to create English sparkling wines that would stand up alongside the very finest offerings from across the globe. They released their first wine in 2010 and quickly earned a reputation as an outstanding producer, with accolades from some of the industry’s most exacting critics. They now own 60 hectares at Gusbourne Estate in Kent and 30 hectares in West Sussex that are planted with the 3 classic varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

Using minimal intervention, they age their wine on the lees for at least 28 months in order to add depth. Once disgorged, extended cork ageing further enhances the complexity of their wines.
