Without being filtered or fined, Hidalgo Manzanilla En Rama is an earthy sherry with classic salty notes alongside nutty aromas and dried fruits. Fortified dry white wine with a crip finish and a refreshing acidity.
Bodegas Hidalgo is a family run Business that was established in 1874. Located in the heart of Jerez de la Frontera, the winery is a 19th century building with thick walls and high ceilings. Both are key element in keeping temperatures low which is ideal for the fermentation and aging of Sherry. The Bodega is currently run by Javier Hidalgo, the 6th generation and cellar master Manuel Nieves who was in charge of the cellar, managing the solera’s for over five decades, has now passed the reign to his son Manuel Jesus Nieves. The classic sherry grapes Palomino, Moscatel and Pedro Ximenez are grown in three types of soil: limestone-rich albariza, clay-dominant with sandy arenas. All wines are age through the solera system.
