In Bond case of Gran Reserva 904, La Rioja Alta 2009.
Founded by five Riojan and Basque families who shared a passion for wine, the wines of La Rioja Alta are known for producing some of the greatest wine in the region. The 904 is named following the famed 1904 Reserva vintage, made to commemorate the merger of La Rioja Alta with the Ardanza Winery.
Aged for 4 years in 4 year old American oak barrels. A powerful wine with ripe and spicy flavours and a hint of vanilla.
“This is a driven and super tight Gran Reserva with dark berries and hints of spice and cedar. A spicy red-pepper undertone and some dried flowers. Full to medium body, integrated tannins and a superb finish. A great wine. Available in September 2018. A wine for the cellar, but why wait? 97 points.” James Suckling, August 2018.
