Château Ducru Beaucaillou, meaning ‘beautiful stone’, has the reputation of being a super second and, its little brother la Croix de Beaucaillou receives the same care in both vineyards and cellar.
Matured for more than 12 months in oak barrels (60% new), this is a great introduction to this splendid estate. Full bodied and complex with silky tanins and great length.

Intense and pure aromas of blueberries and cassis here,. The palate has a smooth, fine-edged core of tannin and a good build of rich fruit flavor. Some graphite to the black fruit. A blend of 58% merlot, 39% cabernet sauvignon and 3% petit verdot. Second wine of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. Drink or hold.
