This young estate used to be partly owned by Château Lagrange. Located next to Ducru, Lalande Borie lies further back from the Gironde estuary and produces deep wines with good structure which are typical from St Julien and don’t require long maturing time to be enjoyed.
Aromas of dark berry fruits and black cherry alongside notes of chocolate, cigar and leather. Deep with a good tannic structure and a good length.
There's an impressive richness to this wine along with elegance. With its vanilla character from the wood aging, it has smoothness and structure at the same time. At the end, the wine's freshness and juicy black fruits become more apparent. Drink from 2019- 90 pts Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast
