Product description
Domaine Langlois-Chateau is a fantastic producer from Saumur in the Loire Valley who specialise in creating wine from two unique grape varieties – Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. The big brother to the basic Saumur Rouge is made with vines over 30 years old, hand selected and harvested from four small vineyards.
Aged in 500 litre oak barrels for 8 months the style is richer and more complex. Beautiful intense dark ruby colour with crimson highlights. Expressive nose with refined oak and a mix of ripe fruit, spices and a clutch of toasted notes. Rich, concentrated palate with closely-integrated, silky tannins. It is showing everything you would expect from a great wine, drinking well now but will continue to age for some years to come.
